First Gift is a division of Saving Sight, a nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to changing lives by saving sight. Our websites serve members of the public, professional stakeholders, volunteers, financial donors, and other individuals interested in our work.

• Donation information, such as donation amount, transaction date, billing information, donor preferences, and information needed to acknowledge or process a contribution. Payment-card information is processed by our payment processor and may not be stored directly by us
• Communications and submissions, including information you provide through contact forms, surveys, registrations, applications, newsletter sign-ups, or messages sent to us.
• SMS and MMS information, including your mobile number, messaging preferences, consent records, and messages exchanged with us.
• Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring pages, and interactions with our website.

Please do not submit confidential medical information, Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, or other highly sensitive information through a general website contact form unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure process.

When you provide your mobile telephone number and consent to receive text messages, First Gift or Saving Sight may send you SMS or MMS messages related to the purpose described when you opted in. Messages may include responses to inquiries, service-related information, scheduling or administrative communications, organizational updates, or other communications you specifically requested.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message. You may reply HELP for assistance or contact us using the information listed below. We will process opt-out requests in accordance with applicable requirements. After opting out, you may receive a final message confirming your request.

Consent to receive SMS or MMS messages is not a condition of making a donation, obtaining services, or otherwise interacting with First Gift or Saving Sight.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of this Privacy Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with third parties.

We may use communications and technology service providers solely to transmit or support our messages and maintain our systems, subject to appropriate restrictions. We do not sell mobile telephone numbers or SMS opt-in information.

Consent to receive messages from First Gift or Saving Sight applies only to the organization and messaging program identified when consent is obtained and is not transferred to another organization for its independent use.

How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information:

As explained above, mobile numbers and text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

• Authorize.net, for secure donation-payment processing.
• Mailchimp, for managing email subscriptions and sending email communications.
• Zoom, for business telephone and SMS/MMS communications.
• Google Analytics, for measuring and understanding website usage.

These providers process information under their own contracts, security practices, and privacy notices.

Payment Processing

Donation payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We recommend reviewing the processor’s privacy and security information before submitting payment details. We do not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on our own website systems unless expressly stated at the point of collection.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our websites, remember preferences, understand website traffic, and improve the user experience.
